Scottrade is an easy brokerage to work with. They have both a great web-site and a friendly staff in the office. They only charge $7 per trade, and you learn to trade on line in a few seconds.

The service at the brick and mortar location is excellent. Always quick to help, and able to answer any logistic question about your account or trading definitions and regulations. Very knowledgable staff and very easy going and friendly. Highly recommended, and definitely one of the best trading companies around.
