Apathetic Doctor
He performed a bunion surgery on my right toe. A week after the surgery, my toe got infected. It was painful and very swollen. He reassured me time and again that it was OK and that he was very proud of the result. Two months after the surgery, the swelling had not subsided and the foot went to sleep and got very sensitive. He accused me of being afraid of pain and not putting weight on it. He got upset when I told him other doctors told me my foot had a form of arthritis at the surgery joint. He has never had my best interest in mind. After the 3rd month, he told me I was one of the very rare cases where the bone had grown back and I would require more surgery. I wouldn't have been as upset if he had be honest to me from the beginning when he realized that something was wrong instead of blaming it on me. The bunion is now much bigger than before the surgery and the arthritis is causing me much pain. Read more at losangeles.citysearch.com Recommended: Yes

Dr. Wang--- is awesome by Michael L. at InsiderPages
With just over 2 weeks to go until my first marathon, I was about to give up. Dr. Wang predicted what was necessary to get me through 26.2 miles in Las Vegas. He was comforting and extremely empathetic. He listened, assessed and put in place a plan... that got me running the next morning!! I'd recommend Dr. Wang for ALL runners in WLA... and wouldn't hesitate to give my heartfelt recommendation for any podiatry needs. PROS: Easy to get an appointment; empathetic; thoughtful and on my insurance plan CONS: NONE Read more at losangeles.citysearch.com Recommended: Yes

Saved My Sanity by Jessi S. at InsiderPages
Dr. James Wang is one of the most wonderful men I know, as a doctor and as a person. By the time I got to him with my problem, I had already had 3 operations and was in much worse shape than when I started. My pain was crippling and I was way beyond frustrated. He was amazed at the amount of damage that had been done. He was so kind & understanding and has an amazing bedside manner. He has been working with me for over 4 years trying to repair the damage, and my only wish is that I had known about him from the beginning. While he is kind and gentle and very funny, he is also very confident and in complete control in the operating room, which puts me at ease as a patient. And while he is a great surgeon, he will try every option under the sun before even discussing surgery as a possibilty. While most DPM's went to school for 2 years, he went for 4 years just because he wanted to know that if someone walked in with a gunshot wound below the knee, he could take care of them. Diane runs his office and really knows what she's doing, it's great to have her on your side. Dr. Wang is a wonderful doctor and I would definitely call him a friend as well. I would send anyone in to him without a moments hesitation, no matter how bad the problem. PROS: you can't beat brilliance and kindness CONS: not one Read more at losangeles.citysearch.com Recommended: Yes
